All of Burt’s Bees products are Leaping Bunny certified. This means they do not test on animals.

Packaging, Practices + Policies

Burt’s Bees are thorough in how they support the environment.

They run land-fill free operations to try and minimise the amount of waste generated in their communal workspaces. This is achieved by giving the worker’s sorting bins for their rubbish.

They have also partnered with Fresh Energy to encourage greater biodiversity – nurture the co-existence of pollinators, and solar panel farms through the planting of wildflowers.

They’ve also purchased Water Restoration Certificates from the Bonneville Environmental Association, to ensure that they are replenishing the water that they use for their business.

Since 2015, Burt’s Bees has been Carbon Neutral certified, meaning that they offset their CO2 emissions and have a net-zero output of carbon emissions.

Burt’s Bees are explicit on their website about how to appropriately recycle their packaging either with local recycling plants or via Terra Cycle.

If you’d like to learn more about Burt’s Bees’ sustainability efforts, there’s an in-depth Sustainability Report available on their website.
